Peak Hill Visitor Information Centre provides a range of information for the tourist and traveller alike, including maps and drives of the town and region, information on local and regional attractions, staff can assist you with accommodation and other services as required.
The Centre boasts an interesting display of the local mining history. The visitor centre is incorporated with a large display of local art and craft gift items for purchase as well as local homemade cakes and slices. Major attractions for the area is "The Open Cut Experience" and the "Big Fish Fossil Hut", also close to the Goobang National Park, and the famous Parkes Radio Telescope and the Dubbo Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
